Bunker fuel sales at Panama fell by about 2.16% in December 2022, according to the latest data from La Autoridad Maritima de Panama, also known as the Panama Maritime Authority (PMA).
Total bunker sales at Panama was 476,109 metric tonnes (mt) in December, compared to sales of 486,614 mt during the similar period in 2021.
In December 2022, the Pacific side of Panama posted bunker sales of 417,051 mt; 302,778 mt of VLSFO, 69,444 mt of RMG 380, 9,078 of marine gas oil (MGO), and 35,751 mt of low sulphur marine gas oil (LSMGO) were delivered.
The similar region saw total marine sales of 432,991 mt a year before on December; with VLSFO sales at 304,034 mt, RMG 380 sales at 85,128 mt, MGO sales at 7,840 mt, and 35,989 mt of LSMGO being sold.
Panama’s Atlantic side, meanwhile, recorded total bunker fuel sales of 59,058 during December 2022; the figure comprised 44,019 mt of VLSFO, 4,397 mt of RMG 380, 5,934 mt of MGO, and 4,708 mt of LSMGO.
It saw total sales of 53,623 mt in December a year before; with VLSFO sales of 47,624 mt, no sales of RMG 380, 3,339 mt of MGO, and LSMGO sales of 2,660 mt.
