Elshan Aliyev of global energy and commodity price reporting agency Argus Media on Thursday (19 August) reported Montfort expanding its bunkering business to Fujairah and Khor Fakkan:
Global commodity company Montfort will begin supplying delivered marine fuels in Fujairah and Khor Fakkan, UAE, as of next month.
“We will sell high-sulphur (HSFO) and very low-sulphur fuel oil (VLSFO), as well as low sulphur marine gasoil (LSMGO) from 1 September,” its head of bunkering Mikkel Jacobsen told Argus.
The firm will operate two barges, with a total supply capacity of 50,000t.
Montfort will become the fourth supplier to offer HSFO in Fujairah, joining Al Arabia Bunkering, Akron and Mediterranean Eastern.
HSFO supplies in Fujairah, the world’s third largest bunkering centre, have tightened in recent weeks, leading the Fujairah-Singapore HSFO bunker spread to a 17-month high premium of $27/t on 17 August.
