Titan enters LNG bunkering operation milestone in Hamburg

LNG bunker fuel supplier Titan said it achieved a significant milestone when it successfully bunkered AIDA Cruises’ AIDAnova for the first time with its LNG bunker vessel Green Zeebrugge in Hamburg.
Green Zeebrugge delivered 1244 cubic metres of LNG bunker fuel to the AIDAnova on 11 November at the Steinwerder Cruise terminal.
“This operation exemplifies our commitment to sustainable maritime practices and showcases the efficiency and viability of our cleaner solutions,” the firm said on a social media post.
“This operation would not have been possible without the close cooperation between all parties. We, therefore, would like to thank the crew of both vessels who did an excellent job, Cruise Gate Hamburg and AIDA Cruises for trusting us.”
Manifold Times previously reported Titan agreeing with Japanese shipping firm NYK Line to charter NYK’s dedicated LNG bunker vessel, Green Zeebrugge.
Previously known as the Engie Zeebrugge, NYK renamed the vessel Green Zeebrugge after becoming the sole owner of the vessel.
