China-based marine environmental engineering firm SunRui Marine Environment Engineering Co., Ltd. (SunRui) on Thursday (9 March) announced it won nine orders to provide nine marine LNG fuel gas supply systems (FGSS).
SunRui, a subsidiary and research institute of China State Shipbuilding Corporation (CSSC), said the orders came from global customers such as Oshima Shipbuilding, Guangzhou Shipyard International and Shanghai Waigaoqiao Shipbuilding.
“This further enhances the firm’s global influence of domestic high-end ship equipment and making outstanding contributions to serving global shipowners and continuously improving the marine environment,” the firm said.
According to several China-based news outlets, SunRui and Japan’s Oshima Shipyard recently held a signing ceremony for two orders of FGSS. The FGSS will be fitted on two 95,000 LNG-fuelled coal carriers built by the shipyard.
On top of that, it signed an order with Guangzhou Shipyard International to provide four FGSS for 7,000 CEU dual-fuel Ro-Ro ships and an order with Shanghai Waigaoqiao Shipbuilding for three FGSS for 8,600 CEU dual-fuel Ro-Ro ships that will be operated by Cosco Shipping Specialized Carriers Co., Ltd.
