Sales of bunker fuel at Singapore port increased by 8.3% on year during February 2023, according to Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore (MPA) data.
In total, 3.79 million metric tonnes (mt) (exact 3,794,300 mt) of various marine fuel grades were delivered at the world’s largest bunkering port in February, an increase from 3.50 million mt (3,504,000 mt) recorded during February 2022.
Deliveries of 500 centistokes (cSt), 380 cSt and 180 cSt grades in February (against on year) were respectively 3,700 (-100% from 128,100 mt), 1.10 million mt (18.3% from 795,900 million mt), and zero (-100% from 200 mt).
Low sulphur variants of 500 cSt, 380 cSt and 180 cSt products in February (against on year) recorded respectively zero (versus zero), 1.94 million mt (15% from 1.73 million mt), and 63,500 mt (-20.9% from 93,800 mt).
Low sulphur 100 cSt recorded sales of 346,400 mt (-6.7% from 461,600 mt) and ULSFO had no sales in February.
Low Sulphur marine gas oil (LSMGO) sales were posted at 297,000 mt (-6.6% from 280,500 mt) and MGO at 6,200 mt (-21.7% from 10,600 mt).
