VARO Energy to supply Höegh Autoliners with 100 % advanced bio bunker fuel

VARO Energy (VARO) on Wednesday (20 December) announced a strategic partnership with global provider of ocean transportation solutions Höegh Autoliners aimed at advancing the decarbonisation of maritime sectors. 

The collaboration focuses on VARO supplying 100% advanced biofuels to Höegh Autoliners for deep-sea transportation from Europe.

VARO will supply novel blends based on various bio-components, and Höegh deploys them proactively before decarbonisation policies such as the Emissions Trading Scheme, that will be expanded into Marine and FuelEU Marine, come into force.
