Tallinn-based bunker and marine lube trading company Arte Bunkering OÜ is seeking repayment of a bunker claim from the demise charterer of the India-flagged Victor 1 (IMO NO. 9283722) at the High Court of the Republic of Singapore, according to court documents obtained by Manifold Times.
Arte Bunkering, in its originating claim filed on 13 April, is seeking an unpaid USD 222,000 (not including contractual interest and delayed payment administration fee) for the supply and delivery of 300.000 metric tonnes (mt) of 0.5% sulphur max RMG 380 cSt grade to the demise charterer or vessel at Yosu port on or about 24 February 2022.
On 14 April, the solicitors of the bunker trading firm sent a letter to the Sheriff’s Office saying it understood the ship was judicially sold on or around 16 January 2023 with the proceeds of the sale being presently held by the court.
On 27 April, the solicitors representing the demise charterer filed a notice of intention stating they will contest Arte Bunkering’s originating claim.
