Zhoushan Jinhui Shipping Co. Ltd. has added a new bonded bunkering tanker Jinhui 17 to their current fleet, said the Zhejiang Provincial Department of Transportation on 19 May.
It noted the continual improvement of Zhoushan’s bonded bunkering sector since the introduction of IMO 2020.
“At present, the city has 17 registered bonded oil supply companies, and 72 ‘white list’ ships that are allowed to engage in bonded marine fuel bunkering,” stated the department.
The 72 bonded bunkering vessels include a total of five “Zhoushan-type” bunker tankers, with four newbuilds under construction.
Since the beginning of this year, Zhoushan has added two deepwater bunkering anchorages in Qushan, bringing the total to 23.
From January to April, the supply of bonded bunker fuel at Zhoushan was 1.854 million tonnes, a year-on-year increase of 19%.
