Amon Maritime on Tuesday (4 August) said Navigator Amon Shipping, its joint venture with Navigator Gas, has secured a USD 121.8 million financing facility for the delivery of two 51,350 cbm ammonia-fuelled liquefied ammonia carriers.
The ammonia carriers are currently under construction at Nantong CIMC Sinopacific Offshore & Engineering in China.
Delivery of the two vessels are expected to occur in May 2028 and September 2028.
“The financing, provided by ING, Societe Generale and Oversea-Chinese Banking Corporation, marks an important milestone in bringing these next-generation vessels to market and demonstrates strong confidence from leading financial institutions in the future of ammonia transportation and ammonia-powered shipping,” the company said in a social media post.
