Nordic energy company Gasum on Friday (5 July) said its LNG bunker vessel Coralius completed its 800th consecutive bunkering operation on 2 July.

The anniversary bunkering was performed in Skaw with the crude oil tanker RAN DF operated by Equinor.

“Coralius was launched in September 2017 and is owned by Anthony Veder and Sirius Shipping. At the time of commissioning, Coralius was the first of its kind, a purpose-built LNG bunker vessel,” Gasum said in a social media post.

“Over the years Coralius has bunkered both LNG and liquefied biogas to a wide variety of vessels – oil tankers, car carriers, shuttle tankers, dry cargo carriers, cruise ships, expedition vessels and ferries.”

In July last year, Manifold Times reported Gasum successfully performing its 600th bunkering operation.

Coralius performed a ship-to-ship bunkering operation near Helsingborg, Sweden to the oil tanker Tern Sea on 13 July.
