EPS said one of its LNG dual fuel Suezmax tankers, "Starway", successfully completed EPS’ first LNG bunkering op at Galveston offshore anchorage when it received 3,300 cubic meters of LNG bunker fuel.

Singapore-based shipping firm Eastern Pacific Shipping (EPS) on Tuesday (29 August) said it completed its first LNG bunkering operation in US.
EPS said one of its LNG dual fuel Suezmax tankers, Starway, successfully completed EPS’ first LNG bunkering operations at Galveston offshore anchorage, US.
“The vessel received 3,300 cubic meters of LNG via a ship-to-ship transfer operation from Avenir Achievement, a 20,000 cubic meters LNG bunkering vessel chartered by Shell,” it said in a social media post.
“Starway currently trades in the spot market. Given the volatility in LNG pricing, bunkering for spot vessels showcases EPS’ commitment towards decarbonisation.”
