Vast Infraestrutura and OceanPact complete HVO bunkering operation at TLA

Initiative is part of the partnership signed in May between the companies to promote the use of bio bunker fuels at the Port of Açu.
Vast Infraestrutura on Thursday (11 September) said it carried out a hydrotreated vegetable oil (HVO) bunkering operation with OceanPact on 8 September at the Açu Liquid Bulk Terminal (TLA).
The initiative is part of the partnership signed in May between the companies to promote the use of biofuels at the Port of Açu.
“The agreement provides for HVO bunkering of OceanPact vessels operating for Vast in T-Oil terminal to test the viability of using the biofuel,” the company said.
“Bunkering operations will take place at the TLA, and studies will assess the impact of partially or completely replacing fossil fuels with biofuels.”
