Port of Rotterdam publishes bunker fuel sales data for Q2 2023

The Port of Rotterdam Authority recently published bunker fuel sales data for the second quarter (Q2) of 2023.

Deliveries of ultra low sulphur fuel oil, very low sulphur fuel oil, high sulphur fuel oil, marine gas oil and marine diesel oil in Q2 2023 (against on year) recorded respectively 220,777 metric tonnes (mt) (+16.7%  from 189,192 mt, 906,368 mt (-1.5% from 920,223 mt), 847,189 mt (+17.9% from 718,325 mt), 253,748 (-5.9% from 269,833 mt), 151,124 mt (-9.3% from 166,583 mt). 

Bio-blended variants of ultra low sulphur fuel oil, very low sulphur fuel oil, high sulphur fuel oil, marine gas oil and marine diesel oil in Q2 2023 (against on year) recorded respectively 3,039 mt (-85.6% from 21,153 mt), 144,970 mt (+21.6% from 119,174 mt), 25,487 (+36.4% from 18,679 mt), 10,028 mt (+16.4% from 8,617 mt) and 2,300 mt (from 1,002 mt).

Port data showed 179,804 m3 of liquefied natural gas (LNG) being delivered as a marine fuel in Q2 2023, a 60.4% increase from 112,069 m3 in Q2 2022. Methanol recorded no deliveries in Rotterdam for 2023 to date.
