Bunker fuel sales at Panama increased by about 0.87% in May 2022, according to the latest data from La Autoridad Maritima de Panama, also known as the Panama Maritime Authority (PMA).
Total bunker sales at Panama was 421,272 metric tonnes (mt) in May, compared to sales of 417,643 mt during the similar period in 2021.
In May 2022, the Pacific side of Panama posted bunker sales of 351,333 mt; 214,306 mt of VLSFO, 96,645 mt of RMG 380, 9,373 of marine gas oil (MGO), and 31,009 mt of low sulphur marine gas oil (LSMGO) were delivered.
The similar region saw total marine sales of 350,392 mt a year on May; with VLSFO sales at 242,852 mt, RMG 380 sales at 73,932 mt, MGO sales at 8,760 mt, and24,848 mt of LSMGO being sold.
Panama’s Atlantic side, meanwhile, recorded total bunker fuel sales of 69,939 during May 2022; the figure comprised 32,536 mt of VLSFO, 28,491 mt of RMG 380, 3,350 mt of MGO, and 5,562 mt of LSMGO.
It saw total sales of 67,251 mt in May a year before; with VLSFO sales of 41,513 mt, RMG 380 sales of 18,637 mt, 932 mt of MGO, and LSMGO sales of 6,169 mt.
