Representatives of Azerbaijan Caspian Shipping Company (ACSC) and Moscow River Shipping Company (MRSC) on Friday signed a memorandum of cooperation (MOU) to improve the region’s cruise shipping sector.
The MOU will start a joint study on optimal routes for cruise passenger vessels plying ports of the Black Sea and ports of the Caspian Sea.
Bunkering and supply, berths, border posts, customs and sanitary control, and the optimisation of port charges are among topics to be improved under the MOU.
ACSC is comprised of the offshore support and merchant fleets and two shipyards. The merchant fleet consists of 51 vessels while the offshore support fleet is comprised of 204 vessels.
MRSC is the parent company of Mosturflot Cruise Company (MCC) which offer cruises from Moscow to St.-Petersburg, Nizhny Novgorod, Astrakhan and other Russian cities.
