US-based owner and operator of dry bulk vessel Eagle Bulk Shipping on Thursday (12 January) announced the completion of a sustainable biofuel voyage with its partners, Eramet and Eramet Norway, on the M/V Stamford Eagle.
The voyage was completed on GoodFuels MDF1-100 sustainable biofuel, providing an approximately 80% reduction in net well-to-wake CO2 emissions compared to equivalent fossil fuel – a meaningful reduction in Eagle’s scope 1 emissions and Eramet’s scope 3 emissions.
“This most recent biofuel voyage demonstrates our ability to partner with charterers who share our commitment to sustainability initiatives and emissions reductions,” the firm said in a social media post.
