Hong Kong-based marine fuel oil supplier Chimbusco Pan Nation (CPN) on Friday (21 February) said it has achieved a milestone after successfully completing the largest single B24 biofuel delivery in Hong Kong.
The company supplied 5,500 metric tonnes (mt) of B24-LSFO to the vessel XIN LOS ANGELES on 19 February.
It added this was also the largest biofuel bunker delivery amongst all Chinese ports.
“This milestone highlights our logistics expertise and supply chain management capabilities, reaffirming our position as a leading biofuel supplier in the Greater China region,” it said in a statement.
“The ability to provide stable and efficient B24 biofuel supplies remains the key to our success as we support the shipping industry’s transition toward cleaner energy solutions.”
Since 2021, CPN has established a dedicated taskforce to conduct research on alternative fuels, including marine biofuel, which aimed at contributing to a more sustainable shipping industry.
CPN said it supplied more than 44,000 mt of biofuels in Hong Kong in 2024, which accounted for more than 96% market share.
