LNG bunker fuel supplier Titan Clean Fuels (Titan) on Wednesday (30 September) said its LNG bunkering and multi-gas carrier Titan Unikum has just completed its 15-year Special Survey and Dry Dock at Cosco Shipyard in Guangzhou, China.
Alongside the survey, retrofit works were carried out to prepare for the future installation of a Forward Manifold, adding further LNG bunkering capability down the line and reinforcing Unikum’s flexibility as part of its multi-fuel fleet.
“The vessel comes out of the yard in great shape, ready to keep trading for the next five years and beyond,” the company said in a social media post.
Over recent years, Unikum has completed multiple LNG and Pet-Chem time charters, successfully delivering cargo to terminals across Asia.
“Our view remains that LNG, liquefied biomethane (bio-LNG/LBM) and e-methane is the best maritime decarbonisation pathway available now, as it is built on existing infrastructure and technology, supporting safety and scalability,” it added.
“Despite this, we believe in a future where fuel options are key, and Titan Unikum shows that our fleet is flexible and ready.”
