Bunker supplier Avenir LNG on Tuesday (7 April) said it has successfully completed the first ship-to-ship (STS) LNG bunkering operation for a ferry in the Port of Klaipėda.

On 29 March 2026, Avenir Ascension supplied LNG to the dual-fuel RoPax ferry Peter Pan, owned and operated by TT-Line, one of the company’s long-standing partners for LNG and bio-LNG supply.

“For several years, Avenir has supported TT-Line’s operations across ports in Sweden and Germany,” Avenir LNG said in social media.

“Expanding our collaboration to Klaipėda marks an important next step, strengthening security of supply for alternative marine fuels in the Baltic region.”

This milestone also represents the first STS LNG bunkering of a ferry in Lithuania and builds on more than 50 LNG bunkering and transport operations the company has conducted in Klaipėda in recent years.
