Chimbusco Pan Nation debuts B100 bio bunker fuel supply in Hong Kong

Hong Kong-based marine fuel supplier Chimbusco Pan Nation Petro-Chemical (CPN) on Wednesday (7 January) launched its B100 marine biodiesel supply in Hong Kong.

In line with this, the company said it has successfully upgraded its bunker tanker, Guo Si, to become Hong Kong’s first Type II certified bunker tanker dedicated to B100 deliveries.

“By meeting the rigorous standards of the IMO IBC Code and HK Cap. 413E, we have secured the specific infrastructure required to handle pure biofuels safely and compliantly,” the company said in a social media post.

“As the only supplier in the region currently equipped with a compliant Type II bunker tanker for B100, we are ready to help our partners move beyond traditional blends and navigate the next stage of their sustainability journey with confidence.

“This milestone reflects our commitment to staying prepared for the evolving needs of our industry.”

In an exclusive interview with Manifold Times, Calvin Chung, director of CPN, stated it was investing in fleet enhancement, including the launch of South China’s first B100 marine biofuel tanker and expanding our biofuel-capable fleet across Southeast Asia.
