Singapore-headquartered tanker operator Hafnia on Tuesday (5 August) announced the addition of the Ecomar Garonne to its dual-fuel methanol IMO II MR fleet – marking the third vessel delivered through its joint venture ECOMAR with SOCATRA of France.
This milestone follows the successful deliveries of the Ecomar Gascogne in January and the Ecomar Guyenne in May.
“All three vessels are on long-term time charter to our valued partners and customers at TotalEnergies reinforcing our shared commitment to sustainable and efficient marine transport,” Hafnia said in a social media post.
Hafnia previously announced an order with joint venture partner Socatra of France for four 49,800 deadweight dual-fuel methanol chemical IMOII MR newbuilds, constructed out of Guangzhou Shipyard International (GSI), in China.
The fourth and last tanker from the order is expected to be delivered in 2026.
