UniBarge receives bunker licence for methanol bunkering in ARA

Its bunker barge “Chicago” successfully supplied green methanol bunker fuel to containership “Eco Umande” at Delta Barge Feeder terminal in Rotterdam recently.
Dutch bunker barge operator UniBarge on Friday (21 February) said it has received a bunker license to supply methanol bunker fuel to the ports of Rotterdam, Amsterdam, and Antwerp (ARA) in Northwest Europe.
In the same week, its bunker barge Chicago successfully supplied green methanol bunker fuel to containership Eco Umande at the Delta Barge Feeder terminal in Rotterdam.
“This milestone reinforces our commitment to providing sustainable fuel solutions in key European shipping hubs,” it said.
“At UniBarge, we are dedicated to leading the way in sustainable shipping. By offering green methanol bunkering services, we take another step toward decarbonising the maritime industry.”
