Marine energy and lubricants physical supplier and trader Verde Marine Energy (VME) on Tuesday (20 October) announced its expansion to the High Sulfur Fuel Oil (HSFO) market with a dedicated barge, following the latest collaboration with Sunoco Marine Ltd.
The collaboration in ARA and the UK with Sunoco Marine Ltd commenced on 1 October, creating further growth opportunities for VME.
The company also announced the addition of team members from ARA supplier Melroh Trading BV to support VME’ operational growth and future plans.
With immediate effect, Robbert Huizer and Tim Visser will join the VME team with Huizer appointed as Head of Sales and Visser as Operations and Sales.
VME has recently expanded its barge fleet with additional fully equipped bunker barges to serve clients in Flushing, Ternuezen, and Ghent.
The company has also strengthened its position in the biofuels supply market, successfully delivering thousands of metric tonnes of B100 to customers across the ARA region by barge and truck with the addition of Sustainability expert Christian Sterken.
“With these additions, VME will establish a stronger and more secure foundation, enabling the combined team to support clients and suppliers throughout this growth period without disruption or any change in service quality,” it said.
VME said it is confident that this investment in people will make a significant contribution to its collaboration with Sunoco Marine Ltd.
“The expanded team will play a key role in growing the VME, Vertom, and Sunoco brands and operations across the ARA and UK regions and beyond,” the company added.
