Gloryholder Liquefied Gas Mechanical Engineering (Dalian) Co., Ltd. in June 2021 signed an agreement with Shanghai Waigaoqiao Shipbuilding Co.,Ltd. (SWS) to supply liquified natural gas (LNG) gas systems for four 190,000-ton dual-fuel bulk carriers.
The complete set of LNG gas supply system equipment will be delivered to Waigaoqiao Shipyard in March 2022. The shipowner is U-Ming Shipping Co., Ltd. (U-Ming), which is classified by DNV.
The newbuilding order represents a new generation of dual-fuel bulk carrier type which features better economic advantages, in addition to meeting the latest standards such as the IMO IGF Code, NOx Tier III, SOx 2020 and the third phase of EEDI requirements in 2025, according to the company.
Gloryholder LPG will provide a complete set of LNG fuel gas supply system. The scope of supply includes: two single-layer PUF insulated fuel tanks, LNG filling station, high/low pressure gas supply system, water glycol system, ESD system and Supply of equipment such as nitrogen system, installation guidance, system commissioning, gas trial and crew training services, etc.
With the improvement of environmental protection standards and regulations, LNG fuel-powered ships will gradually occupy a larger market share.
As such, Gloryholder LPG will continue its research and development study and to further demonstrate strong brand influence in the field of LNG FGSS, it states.
