Singapore: Marina Poise Shipping Pte Ltd to be wound up voluntarily

Two notices were published in the Government Gazette on Thursday (25 March) regarding the winding up of Marina Poise Shipping Pte Ltd.

According to the first notice the following resolutions were duly passed on Thursday, 18 March by way of written resolution:

  • That the company be wound up voluntarily pursuant to the Insolvency, Restructuring And Dissolution Act 2018 (Act 40 of 2018).
  • That the Liquidators be authorised to exercise any of the powers provided by the Insolvency, Restructuring And Dissolution Act 2018 (Act 40 of 2018).
  • That the Liquidators are authorised to distribute all or any part of the assets of the company remaining after satisfaction of all debts and liabilities.
  • Ho Lon Gee and Lee Wei Hsiung are jointly appointed as Liquidators of the company for the winding up process.
  • That the remuneration of the Liquidators be based on their normal scale rates for carrying out the assignment plus disbursements and that the Liquidators’ fees be paid out of the company’s assets.

The second notice calls for creditors of the company to send in their names and addresses and particulars of their debts or claims, and the names and addresses of their solicitors (if any) to the appointed Liquidator by Monday, 26 April.

If so required, creditors are to come in and prove their debts or claims at such time and place as shall be specified in a notice in writing from the Liquidator, risk being excluded from the benefit of any distribution made before such debts are proved.
