PT Pertamina Patra Niaga, on Sunday (29 August) said it has started distribution of 0.5% sulphur limit Low Sulphur Fuel Oil (LSFO) to Ocean Going Vessels at Cigading Port, Banten.
A total of 160 metric tonnes(mt), or 175,000 liters, of LSFO was supplied to the Cyprus-flagged MV Elona sailing from Brazil.
“This step is a tangible form of synergy between Pertamina Patra Niaga and Krakatau Bandar Samudera in maximizing the potential of ship bunkering in the Sunda Strait,” said the statement.
Manifold Times earlier reported PT Krakatau Bandar Samudera (Krakatau International Port) and PT Pertamina Patra Niaga in early August entering into a Memorandum of Understanding to establish bunkering services providing low sulphur 180 cSt fuel oil at the Sunda Strait in Indonesia.
