The Port of Rotterdam Authority recently published bunker fuel sales data for the third quarter (Q3) of 2022.
During Q3 2022 (versus on year), sales of traditional marine fuels for ULSFO was 205,451 mt (199,188 mt); VLSFO 986,058 mt (1.1 million mt); and HSFO 835,812 mt (694,133 mt).
Bio-blended varieties of traditional bunker fuels sold in the similar period for ULSFO was 8,793 mt (6,941 mt); VLSFO 144,219 mt (22,355 mt); and HSFO 30,462 mt (11,777 mt).
Sales of regular MGO in Q3 2022 (versus on year) recorded 299,045 mt (258,797 mt); MDO 162,113 mt (183,987 mt); and lubes 8,903 m3 (16,553 m3).
Bio-blended versions of MGO and MDO respectively recorded sales of 5,718 mt (6,354 mt) and 3,583 mt (4,198 mt) during the comparative period.
Port data showed 113,701 m3 of liquefied natural gas (LNG) being delivered as a marine fuel in Q3 2022, a 46.5% decrease from 212,719 m3 in Q3 2021.
