Bunker fuel sales at Panama increased by about 15.06% in June 2022, according to the latest data from La Autoridad Maritima de Panama, also known as the Panama Maritime Authority (PMA).
Total bunker sales at Panama was 433,973 metric tonnes (mt) in June, compared to sales of 377,153 mt during the similar period in 2021.
In June 2022, the Pacific side of Panama posted bunker sales of 367,575 mt; 202,470 mt of VLSFO, 123,678 mt of RMG 380, 3,411 of marine gas oil (MGO), and 38,016 mt of low sulphur marine gas oil (LSMGO) were delivered.
The similar region saw total marine sales of 311,682 mt a year before on June; with VLSFO sales at 234,215 mt, RMG 380 sales at 43,617 mt, MGO sales at 5,943 mt, and 27,907 mt of LSMGO being sold.
Panama’s Atlantic side, meanwhile, recorded total bunker fuel sales of 66,398 during June 2022; the figure comprised 55,844 mt of VLSFO, 1,099 mt of RMG 380, 5,795 mt of MGO, and 3,660 mt of LSMGO.
It saw total sales of 65,471 mt in June a year before; with VLSFO sales of 49,676 mt, RMG 380 sales of 5,226 mt, 3,340 mt of MGO, and LSMGO sales of 7,229 mt.
