Bunker fuel sales at Panama fell by about 9.74% in February 2022, according to the latest data from La Autoridad Maritima de Panama, also known as the Panama Maritime Authority (PMA).
Total bunker sales at Panama was 377,649 metric tonnes (mt) in February, compared to sales of 418,415 mt during the similar period in 2021.
In February 2022, the Pacific side of Panama posted bunker sales of 321,298 mt; 195,690 mt of VLSFO, 89,375 mt of RMG 380, 3,577 of marine gas oil (MGO), and 32,656 mt of low sulphur marine gas oil (LSMGO) were delivered.
The similar region saw total marine sales of 373,698 mt a year on February; with VLSFO sales at 267,513 mt, RMG 380 sales at 68,726 mt, MGO sales at 10,880 mt, and 26,579 mt of LSMGO being sold.
Panama’s Atlantic side, meanwhile, recorded total bunker fuel sales of 56,351 during February 2022; the figure comprised 33,669 mt of VLSFO, 16,006 mt of RMG 380, 2,627 mt of MGO, and 4,049 mt of LSMGO.
It saw total sales of 44,717 mt in February a year before; with VLSFO sales of 35,106 mt, RMG 380 sales of 4,568 mt, no sales of MGO, and LSMGO sales of 5,043 mt.
