Liberian flagged container ship MV MSC Faith has been refloated after running aground in the Singapore Strait off Indonesia, according to several media reports.
According to marine and transit claims consultancy WK Webster, it has been reported the vessel has been refloated, possibly with tug assistance, and has moved to anchor at Batu Ampar anchorage, Indonesia for inspection.
“We have received reports that container ship, MSC Faith ran aground whilst navigating the Singapore Strait, after departing Pasir Panjang container terminal, Singapore, bound for Yantian, China on 31 January 2023,” it said in its casualty report on the incident.
