Maldives-based Hawks Group achieves 550,000 mt of bunker sales volume in 2024

Maldives-based marine fuel supplier The Hawks Group on Wednesday (25 February) said the group’s physical supply and traded volumes exceeded 550,000 metric tonnes in 2024. 

The company said it took strategic steps last year, with the launch of physical supply in Sri Lanka with two barges, the addition of trading teams in new offices in Monaco and Kuala Lumpur and the introduction of a further three tankers and barges to its physical supply activities in the Maldives, Arabian Sea and Indian Ocean.

The company also announced the launch of The Hawks DMCC at the start of London International Energy Week.

“Hawks DMCC will become the platform under which we consolidate our back-to-back bunker and cargo trading worldwide,” said Hassan Rifau, CEO of the Hawks Group.

“Our expanding office network which now includes Singapore, Shanghai, Kuala Lumpur and Monaco will act as representatives of Hawks DMCC with suppliers and clients as we continue to grow the trading business.”

Rifau also shared that its focus for 2025 is on consistent, targeted growth across its network.

“We will recruit traders in Dubai and Singapore to support expansion in back-to-back trading volumes and we are studying options to add further tankers and barges to grow our presence in Maldives, Sri Lanka and international cargo trades,” he said.
