Burando Energies welcomes Valerie Ahrens as Global Head of Methanol

European marine fuel supplier Burando Energies recently welcomed Valerie Ahrens as its new Global Head of Methanol and Strategic Relationships.

With over three decades of global leadership experience across energy, trading, shipping, and bunkering, she has been engaged in decarbonisation efforts for more than 10 years, playing a key role in advancing sustainable fuel solutions across the industry.

Following an impressive 30-year career with leading global energy companies, Ahrens went on to establish and lead a dedicated division focused on new fuels and carbon markets, building a position in maritime green fuels and carbon solutions.

At Burando Energies, Ahrens will be responsible for expanding the company’s sustainable fuels portfolio, with a strong focus on methanol, while further strengthening strategic partnerships across global markets.
