Maria Skipper Schwenn of Bunker Holding steps down as IBIA Board Member

The International Bunker Industry Association (IBIA) on Thursday (4 December) announced Maria Skipper Schwenn has stepped down as an IBIA Global Board Member. 

Schwenn, who joined the IBIA Global Board on 1 April 2024, has now moved on from Bunker Holding as its Director of Public Affairs.  

“Maria has been a valuable asset to the IBIA Board, particularly through her involvement in the IBIA delegation team at the International Maritime Organization (IMO),” IBIA said on its website.

“The IBIA Global Board and Secretariat wish Maria the greatest success in her new role at the Danish Chamber of Commerce and thank her for the contribution she has made to our association.

“As it stands, the IBIA Board has broad industry representation and will wait for the next board elections later this year to appoint a democratically elected representative to fill Maria’s position.”

The deadline for nominations for IBIA Board Elections 2026 is on 12 December with four positions now up for election.
