SIPG Energy and Sinopec Fuel Oil Sales to set up full supply chain for green marine fuels

SIPG Energy (Shanghai) Co Ltd (SIPG Energy) on Thursday (7 August) said it signed a strategic cooperation framework agreement with Sinopec Fuel Oil Sales Co Ltd (Sinopec Fuel Oil Sales) in Beijing to collaborate on green marine fuels.
According to the strategic cooperation agreement, the two parties will jointly establish a new benchmark for green fuels, explore new paradigms for industry standards, and explore new approaches to energy security.
They will jointly build a full supply chain for green marine fuels such as methanol fuel, biofuel, and LNG, supporting Shanghai Port in its development as a world-leading green bunkering service centre.
Focusing on improving quality and efficiency, the two parties will also jointly explore opportunities in areas such as sharing bunkering resources, logistics optimisation, barge sharing, and bunker supply agency services.
“This collaboration represents a strong partnership between an industry leader in marine fuel and a rising star in the new energy bunkering sector,” SIPG Energy said.
