Swede Chem Tankers AB, a commercial shipping company focusing on transporting liquids in bulk mainly in Northern Europe and in the Baltic Sea, on Thursday (30 May) said its oil/chemical tanker Nike recently bunkered a B30-DMA fuel.
The bunker fuel delivered by Swedish bunker trader and physical supplier ScanOcean AB, contained no FAME content and complied with the ISO 8217:2017 for DMA.
Swede Chem Tankers said the fuel, with the renewable content being HVO, offered a well-to-wake CO2-reduction of 25%.
“The product is compliant with the ISCC-EU standard and the upcoming FuelEu Martime regulation, underscoring its alignment with strict sustainability criteria,” it said in a social media post.
“Swede Chem Tanker can now offer customers eco-friendly propulsion.”
About a week ago, ScanOcean announced the launch of its new renewable marine fuel, B30-DMA, in Sweden.
“After several successful deliveries, we are now ready to officially announce this innovative blend that combines DMA 0.1 with HVO, certified with a Proof of Sustainability (PoS) under ISCC-EU,” the company said in its social media.
“It not only complies with EU ETS and FuelEU Maritime but also enhances both CII and CSI ratings, supporting the shift to a sustainable maritime future.”
Manifold Times previously reported Lakeway Link AB announcing a new partnership with ScanOcean AB on the introduction of B15-DMA, a marine fuel with 15% renewable content, for Lakeway Link’s new roll-on/roll-off (RoRo) service connecting Södertälje, Sweden, and Gdynia, Poland.
