Cyprus-based global commodity trading firm Gunvor is considering a partial sale of its 1.5 million cubic metre capacity Rotterdam oil storage facility.

A source close to the development told Reuters the sale relates to Gunvor’s Stargate Oil Terminal at Rotterdam.

The company acquired the facility which stores crude oil, liquefied petroleum gas, naphtha, gasoline, kerosene, gasoil, vacuum gasoil and fuel oil after purchasing the 88,000-barrels-per-day Rotterdam refinery from Kuwait Petroleum International in 2016.

Last year, Gunvor sold its stake in the crude oil storage business at the Maasvlakte Olie Terminal to Saudi Aramco Overseas Co.
