27 Nov 2019

New York-listed oil and bunker trading firm World Fuel Services (WFS) has started IMO 2020 bunker delivery operations at Falmouth port.

“WFS is here to help with IMO 2020. Our Falmouth bunkering hub received its first cargo of VLSFO and made its first delivery last week!” It stated in an update on Tuesday (26 November).

“We now offer VLSFO / HSFO and MGO together with a debunkering facility for a complete IMO 2020 solution in the strategic port of Falmouth.

“Our team is ready to assist with your transition into 2020.”

WFS in June 2018 upgraded the storage facilities and introduced a new supply vessel to its fleet to support bunkering operations at Falmouth.

Lately, the firm posted a 24.5% increase in net profit on year for the third quarter (Q3) of 2019 on the back of strong performance from its marine segment.
