The Vietnam Coast Guard on Tuesday (1 November) said it has escorted fishing vessel ship TG 93738 TS to the port of Squadron 301 in Vung Tau city for further investigations over an alleged illegal diesel oil cargo.
The fishing vessel was found by a 3rd Coast Guard Region Command patrol about 41 nautical miles northeast of Con Dao district about 10.45 am on 31 October, it said.
Initial inspections discovered the vessel, manned by a crew of three, transporting 65,000 liters of diesel oil with no documents proving its legal origin.
As such, the authorities made a record of administrative violations and escorted the vessel to Vung Tau city for further investigations and handling in accordance with the law.
