Verde Marine Energy unveils latest barge to support VLSFO bunker fuel supply in ARA

Marine energy and lubricants physical supplier and trader Verde Marine Energy on Tuesday (15 July) unveiled its latest barge added to its VLSFO fleet, MTS Virage (IMO 9430882).
The vessel will expand the company’s VLSFO operations across the ARA region and has been freshly painted in the company’s colours while the barge name will be updated soon.
“This new barge strengthens our presence in the Rotterdam-Antwerp hub and builds on the momentum established with the successful deployment of the MTS Malia which was deployed in Rotterdam,” the company said in a social media post.
“We are expanding our port, product and supply method portfolio gradually on the back of performance and customer support!”
In a separate social media post, Joe Tierney, Head of Trading, said the company added the barge to assist and supply in the ports of Antwerp and flushing after its successful start with VLSFO in Rotterdam.
“All barges in our fleet will be fitted with MFM (mass flow meter) during the summer to comply with the upcoming MFM regulations,” he added.
