Maritime design company Vard Engineering AS on Friday (26 November) introduced a new design of liquefied natural gas (LNG) bunkering vessels.
LNG bunkering vessels are designed for local distribution, ship to ship (STS) operations, short and medium distance transport, it said.
Utilising the synergies with its well verified platform developed for zero emission Norwegian coastal transport and having involved simulation based operational analysis, Vard managed to develop the unified family of optimised tankers.
The LNG vessel design, in different versions, is ready to accommodate between 5,000 and 7,500 m3 of LNG (gross), and cargo or vapor conditioning systems according to client preferences.
The design can be delivered in both seagoing and inland versions with lowered bridge and even more decreased air draft.
