LNG bunker fuel supplier Titan on Tuesday (4 April) said it performed a gas-up and cool-down operation on one of the tanks from the LNG tanker Grace Emilia from NYK, which has a total capacity of 174.000 m3.
The firm said it used its LNG bunker vessel Kairos to perform the operation in the port of Algeciras located in Andalusia, Spain.
“The operation was successfully carried out from 25 to 29 March 2023, and it ran smoothly as planned, thanks to our expertise, experience, and our fleet, that in combination, allowed us to perform such a unique gas-up and cool-down service for LNG carriers,” it said in a social media post.
“This operation would not have been possible without the close cooperation between all parties. We, therefore, would like to thank the crew of both vessels who did an excellent job, the Port of Algeciras, and NYK Line for trusting us.”
