Provider of end-to-end maritime solutions Synergy Marine Group on Monday (18 October) said it has provided 100% sustainable marine fuel to support a voyage from Europe to Canada by chemical tanker Monax.
The project involved partners Tufton Asset Management, Stolt tankers, and GoodFuels.
“I would like to especially say well done to our team on board the Monax, the Synergy-managed vessel which completed this challenge. Our crew ensured the vessel was biofuel-ready and the trial conducted safely,” says Rajesh Unni, Founder and CEO of Synergy Marine Group, in a social media post.
“Ahead of cop26glasgow, this project demonstrates that a cleaner shipping industry is both feasible and achievable, even in the short term,” he adds.
