Singapore: Arrested oil tanker “Lai Bao” put up for sale by sheriff’s office

Naru-flagged tanker Lai Bao (IMO 9444807), a vessel formerly known as Bossoil 1, has been put up for sheriff’s sale at the High Court of the Republic of Singapore on Thursday (29 August).

The 6,500 dwt chemical and oil product tanker is currently lying afloat in ballast condition at Eastern Special Purpose Anchorage (AESP) A/5517B, Singapore.

The net value of bunkers on board Lai Bao is SGD 58,024 which is excluded from the sale, and have to be paid by the purchaser.

Interested parties will need to contact the sheriff’s office no later than 3.00pm, on Thursday, 12th day of September 2019.

The Lai Bao is the subject of a claim by Singapore-based Staroil Energy Pte Ltd which was seeking payment of bunkers totalling approximately US $117,700 in May 2019.
