A Director of Singapore bunker supplier Sentek Marine & Trading faced a charge from Singapore’s Criminal Investigation Department at the State Courts of Singapore on Thursday (1 October) for allegedly receiving stolen property, according to the charge sheet obtained by Manifold Times.
He was accused of committing the act with Ng Hock Teck, Robin Wong Wai Meng and Alvin Koh Koon Yian, to dishonestly receive about 2,916.30 metric tonnes of marine gasoil valued at USD 1,360,226.24, according to the document.
The stolen property was transferred from Shell, Pulau Bukom to the bunker tanker Sentek 22 between 1st and 31st March 2017, it stated.
The Director’s alleged offence is punishable under Section 411(1) read with Section 109 of the Penal Code, Chapter 224 (2008 Revised Edition). If found guilty, he shall be punished with imprisonment for a term which may extend to 5 years, or with fine, or with both.
