Shanghai Fuyuan Fuel Oil Co., Ltd. on Tuesday (17 January) completed its first bunkering operation at Waigaoqiao Terminal Phase 5 in Shanghai, according to Shanghai Chimbusco Marine Bunker Co., Ltd on 18 January.
Bunker vessel Hai Gong You 31 refuelled Sinotrans Container Lines’s ship Sinotrans Shanghai with 300 tonnes of low sulphur fuel oil at 7.28pm.
Since Shanghai Fuyuan Fuel Oil’s first batch of low-sulphur fuel oil arrived at its warehouse on 11 January, the firm’s Fuel Supply Department has been preparing for the bunkering operation.
Shanghai Chimbusco Marine Bunker said the completion of Shanghai Fuyuan Fuel Oil’s first bunkering operation marks a good start of close cooperation between the two parties, and also indicates the transformation of Shanghai Chimbusco’s services with prospects of increasing its volume and efficiency by the end of 2023.
