Rotterdam marine fuel sales volume in Q1 2019 down 9% on year

Sales of marine fuel at Rotterdam port fell 9.1% in the first quarter (Q1) of 2019, according to figures from the Port of Rotterdam Authority.

Latest bunker sales volume (on year) saw fuel oil at 1.90 million m3 (2.13 million m3); marine gas oil at 336,032 m3 (337,047 m3); marine diesel oil at 22,197 m3 (43,612 m3); and lubes at 19,722 m3 (26,203 m3).

Sales of liquefied natural gas (LNG) as a marine fuel in Q1 2019 was 5,403 metric tonnes (mt), a 641% increase from 729 mt in Q1 2018.
