Brazilian energy firm Raízen has commenced its new bunkering operation in Belém and Vila do Conde in North Brazil, according to Paula Georgopoulos Tinoco, Bunker Sales Coordinator at Raízen on Monday (8 April).

“Our local bunker supply is now up and running for rendering the grade of VLSFO 380 which will be performed by two double hulled bunker barges to support a wide spectrum of oceangoing vessels,” she said in a social media post.

She added the new bunkering operation will support both coastal and foreign ships navigating Brazillian waters.

“The port of Belém and Vila do Conde are a key addition to our portfolio, representing one of the five bunkering ports where Raízen has been physically supplying bunkers,” she said.

“Our bunker staff in Brazil covers from North to South deliveries, including Belém, Vila do Conde, Itaqui, Salvador, Rio de Janeiro and Rio Grande, providing timely and reliable bunker services across our coastline.”
