Port of Rotterdam publishes bunker fuel sales data for Q3 2023

The Port of Rotterdam Authority recently published bunker fuel sales data for the third quarter (Q3) of 2023.

Deliveries of ultra low sulphur fuel oil, very low sulphur fuel oil, high sulphur fuel oil, marine gas oil and marine diesel oil in Q3 2023 (against on year) recorded respectively 186,803 metric tonnes (mt) (-9.08%  from 205,451 mt), 810,553 mt (-17.8% from 986,058 mt), 790,195 mt (-5.46% from 835,812 mt), 234,690 (-21.3% from 298,085 mt), 144,452 mt (-10.4% from 161,186 mt). 

Bio-blended variants of ultra low sulphur fuel oil, very low sulphur fuel oil, high sulphur fuel oil, marine gas oil and marine diesel oil in Q3 2023 (against on year) recorded respectively 7,183 mt (-18.3% from  8,793 mt), 143,677 mt (-0.38% from 144,219 mt), 17,046 (-44% from 30,462 mt), 14,385 mt (+152% from 5,699 mt) and 958 mt (-73.1% from 3,562 mt).

Port data showed 204,418 m3 of liquefied natural gas (LNG) being delivered as a marine fuel in Q3 2023, a 53.3% increase from 133,352 m3 in Q3 2022. Methanol recorded no deliveries in Rotterdam for 2023 to date.
