Panama bunker sales climbs by 11.7% on year in June 2025

Bunker fuel sales at Panama increased by 11.7% in June 2025, according to the latest data from La Autoridad Maritima de Panama, also known as the Panama Maritime Authority (PMA).

Total bunker sales at Panama was 431,147 metric tonnes (mt) in June 2025, compared to sales of 386,125 mt during the similar period in 2024.

In June 2025, the Pacific side of Panama posted bunker sales of 349,996 mt; 206,144 mt of VLSFO, 109,432 mt of RMG 380, 3,043 of marine gas oil (MGO), and 31,377 mt of low sulphur marine gas oil (LSMGO) were delivered.

The similar region saw total marine sales of 311,405 mt a year before in June; with VLSFO sales at 180,702 mt, RMG 380 sales at 103,652 mt, MGO sales at 2,838 mt, and 24,213 mt of LSMGO being sold.

Panama’s Atlantic side, meanwhile, recorded total bunker fuel sales of 81,151 during June 2025; the figure comprised 60,932 mt of VLSFO, 8,335 mt of RMG 380, 2,935 mt of MGO, and 8,949 mt of LSMGO.

It saw total sales of 74,720 mt in June a year before; with VLSFO sales of 54,832 mt, RMG 380 sales of 5,805 mt, 4,558 mt of MGO, and LSMGO sales of 9,525 mt.
