Panama bunker fuel sales volume drops by 7.9% on year in July 2023

Bunker fuel sales at Panama fell by about 7.9% in July 2023, according to the latest data from La Autoridad Maritima de Panama, also known as the Panama Maritime Authority (PMA).
Total bunker sales at Panama was 412,478 metric tonnes (mt) in July, compared to sales of 448,037 mt during the similar period in 2022.
In July 2023, the Pacific side of Panama posted bunker sales of 341,585 mt; 241,525 mt of VLSFO, 67,055 mt of RMG 380, 5,333 of marine gas oil (MGO), and 27,672 mt of low sulphur marine gas oil (LSMGO) were delivered.
The similar region saw total marine sales of 387,813 mt a year before on July; with VLSFO sales at 268,753 mt, RMG 380 sales at 65,652 mt, MGO sales at 6,786 mt, and 46,622 mt of LSMGO being sold.
Panama’s Atlantic side, meanwhile, recorded total bunker fuel sales of 70,893 during July 2023; the figure comprised 51,649 mt of VLSFO, 7,062 mt of RMG 380, 4,826 mt of MGO, and 7,356 mt of LSMGO.
It saw total sales of 60,224 mt in July a year before; with VLSFO sales of 47,558 mt, RMG 380 sales of 3,408, 4,347 mt of MGO, and LSMGO sales of 4,911 mt.
